Job Boards We Actually Use and Why

Introduction

A strong search strategy isn’t about using every board — it’s about knowing which platforms serve which industries and setting up profiles where it makes sense. These are the sites we rely on most for clients in Colorado across public sector, health and human services, education, and regional employment.

How We Recommend Using These Without Overwhelm

Instead of logging into eight platforms a day, we teach clients to:

  • Conduct at least 1 search to staturation ecercise for each job board you are exploring, then develop a plan to monitor future posting so you are not searching to saturation everytime.

  • Always apply directly with the company on their HR Platform when at all possible.

  • Select 1–3 primary boards based on the industry or role type.

  • Create profiles or alerts only when you have completed search to saturation AND you have decided it is a good pool of positions for you.
